Street Style Chic
Classic Colors and Lace
Hello everyone! Since this weekend we’re celebrating Memorial Day, I was inspired to do do a street style chic look that had a classic color combination of black and white with the added feminine touch of lace.
It goes to prove that even classic colors can be styled in a chic way with the right wardrobe piece. In this case, the dress. I love that it’s versatile for a day to night look and can easily be paired with any accessories. For this day look, I opted for strappy sandals and gold colored jewelry and handbag.
I hope that you have been inspired by the look and enjoy the pictures. Let me know in the comments below and don’t forget to subscribe!
As Memorial Day approaches on Monday, let’s join in with prayers and appreciation.
Love and Peace,

Hello from Winter Wonderland again!
For this week’s look, I challenged myself to style my winter look with neutral colors. I normally opt for the the bold colors like red, burgundy, and black, but I wanted to try out new colors against this stunning Winter backdrop!
I choose colors from the neutral color palette and used this military-inspired coat to ground the whole look. I balanced out the edginess of the coat with a feminine and soft turtleneck blouse. I finished the look with a pair of dark denim skinny jeans, stylish winter boots and added another feminine touch with the handbag and sunglasses.
I hope that you have enjoyed the look! Let me know in the comments below. Don’t forget to subscribe and follow me on Instagram (@AugustRunway) to connect!

Cape Trend and Lace
For this week’s post (and because I am currently no longer in sunny SoCal), I wanted to try out the trend that I am sure you have seen or maybe even tried already: the cape trend on coats and now on dresses too.
This trend has been around since Fall and I knew that it was time for me to give this trend a try now that the weather calls for a warmer look.
For this look, this cape coat (outfit details are always included at the end of my post), I decided on this button up look and paired it with a delicate and intricate lace blouse to make the look fun and feminine. I completed the look with skinny jeans, the still “on trend” ankle booties and for the added pop of color, I added the handbag. It’s a classic warm look, but by incorporating fun trends and adding your own style, you can make a classic look very trendy.
I hope that you have enjoyed the look and pictures! Comment below if you have tried the cape trend already or follow me on Instagram (@AugustRunway) to connect there!

Happy New Year 2016
In a Festive and Couture State of Mind
Happy New Year 2016 everyone! I hope that you had a wonderful time celebrating with your loved ones! As for me, I had an amazing time with my family back in Southern California and made the most of the time that we all spent together. The time spent at my parents home, going back to all my favorite restaurants and visiting Los Angeles, Laguna Beach, Dana Point, and Long Beach were highlights of this trip (including experiencing an unexpected 4.3 earthquake!) If you follow me on Instagram (@AugustRunway), I will be sharing more pictures from this time.
On New Year’s Day, we decided to play tourists in our own city and I was back at “work” again in planning out our photoshoots and location. My goal is to inspire you with fashion, photography and architecture all the while sharing with you personal stories behind the photo shoots and sharing with you some fashion and styling tips! More of that to come as well as a Travel and Beauty section to this blog!
For this look, since it was New Year’s Day, I wanted my look to be festive, fun, stylish and with a couture feel. When I saw this dress, I knew that it marked off all the things that I was looking for and more! And, for location, I knew it had to the iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall. The day was slightly chilly, but it was so inspiring to be there and start the New Year doing what I love and sharing that with all of you.
I hope that you have enjoyed this look and photos!
