Hello everyone!

As we cling on to the last days of Summer, not only are the leaves about transition from their laid back green to fiery hues of orange and red, but so is our wardrobe to adjust to those slightly colder temperatures.

However, what about the transition period when it’s still warm for a dress, but cooler at night and Fall stepping in more and more? Try long sleeve dresses with dark florals! Easy, right? The longer sleeves will help when the temperature begins to slightly get cooler and the prints with the dark florals add a chic nod to the transition period.

For this week’s look, I happen to be in Chicago celebrating my birthday! If you want to see more pictures from my travels there, join me on Instagram and follow me along @AugustRunway!

This dress was perfect for this transition period and also very versatile in using it from a day to night look simply by switching out the accessories. For this day look, I went with minimal jewelry and sunglasses, but added a little chic touch with the lace up tassel sandals and the saddle style bag.

Hope that you have enjoyed the look and pictures! Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to subscribe to get first access to new posts!

Hello everyone! For this week’s post I wanted to share with you a Spring floral look. It’s nearly impossible to resist adding florals to your wardrobe when Spring is in full bloom!

For this look, I wanted to incorporate not only Spring florals, but also another trend, the pastel blue color. I am sure that you have seen dark florals and bright florals on wardrobe pieces, but I was very happy to see that this skirt had the pastel blue (one of the chosen colors of the year) in the whole background of the skirt.

For this look, I kept it very simple with my light sweater in a dark blue color along with my shoes so that the skirt could be the highlight of this look. I also kept my accessories in the golden hues and added a bit of edginess with the watch and it’s gold studs throughout.

I hope you have enjoyed this Spring fashion inspiration look! Let me know in the comments below if you added any Spring florals to your wardrobe as well!
